Kieran has performed clarinet and saxophone for many years, both in Southern Africa and Dubai. She attained her Bachelor of Music degree cum laude from The University of Pretoria. Kieran won the National UNISA DJ Roode Overseas Study Teaching Licentiate competition.
Kieran has performed extensively as a solo musician, in chamber music ensembles and was principal clarinet with the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra for many years. She enjoys many genres of music including classical, jazz and Celtic music. Kieran has recorded music for big screen movies, DVD and television recordings and broadcasts and has recorded a CD of her own to assist babies in sleeping.
In her spare time, Kieran enjoys endurance swimming and triathlon racing.
The Serbian-born Andrija has over 9 years of experience teaching music. He studied subject for over 10 years, before taking up teaching as a profession in 2009. Since, he has been working with pupils of all ages, nurturing their talents and preparing them for recitals, competitions and examinations.
Andrija has won several accolades in his career, including a second place in the 6th Open Contest of Students of Music in 2009. He was a member of multiple Church Choirs, the Academic Choir of the University of Nis and was part of guest performances in Macedonia, Italy, Portugal, Greece and Poland. He is also serving as a volunteer at the HBO Education Centre Krusevac since 2003.
He holds a master degree in General Music Pedagogy attained from the University of Nis, where he did his undergraduate studies as well.
John is a classically trained musician and a highly experienced performer. A British national, John has been teaching drums in the UAE for over 5 years to pupils of different skill levels including beginners, intermediate and advanced.
His musical expertise also covers sound engineering, instructional design and band management. Given his past and existing allegiance to several five-star hospitality properties in the UAE, he has the ability to help students display their talents and find opportunities.
For John, practice and learning is a way of life and personal development remains a top priority. He believes in continuous learning and upgrades his skills and knowledge through books, courses and applications.
Yaime Rosales is a versatile guitarist of 15+years. She hails from Cuba and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Arts from the Music Conservatory of Santa Clara, Cuba.
She has coached beginners and students up to ABRSM grade 8 with excellent results – more than 30 distinctions and over 50 merits. She has also trained students for Trinity College, Rock and Pop for electric guitar.
Yaimes has taught prescribed music syllabus, including musical concepts and performance, sight reading and listening skills in the context of style and genre as well as created schedules to appeal to individualistic taste and abilities.
She served as a full-time musician at the Classical Music Guitar Orchestra in Cuba and performed as a soloist at its many tours and cultural events during the early part of her career. Since then, she has held many teaching positions in institutions in both Cuba and the UAE.
Cara was born in Lancashire, UK. At the age of eight, she appeared in her first professional production playing the lead role of ‘Blousy’ in ‘Bugsy Malone’ at the ‘Winter Gardens Theatre’ Blackpool.
Upon graduating from Edinburgh University, Cara joined the Royal Academy of Music in London for a year’s Diploma course in Musical Theatre. She appeared in several musical productions and also achieved her Diploma in Television Presenting, from the Royal Academy of Film, Television and Radio during her time in London. Cara was a recipient of the ‘Ian Fleming Award’ and the DIP RAM Award of Distinction from the Royal Academy.
Her extensive exposure to an International Corporate market has resulted in many opportunities for Cara as a vocalist for a variety of high profile brands. She performs solo with full track and recently kicked off her teaching career as a way of sharing her skills, knowledge and experience with young children.
Amanda has been a professional singer for about 20 years. She moved to Dubai in 2016 from London, where she performed in Musicals in the West End such as Mamma Mia, (Prince Edward Theatre) Joseph and The Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat (New London Theatre & UK Tour).
She has performed as a solo artist as well as with numerous bands all over the UK and internationally, whilst writing and producing songs along the way. She has also recorded several jingles for radio and TV commercials.
Amanda holds a degree in Dance, Drama and English. Besides, she trained with internationally renowned voice coach Ian Adam, who has taught the likes of Elaine Paige and Michael Ball, Michael Crawford to name a few.
She assists pupils with vocal techniques, the projection of voice, breath control, diction and intonation to aid in enhancing performance skills and overall confidence whilst maintaining vocal health. Amanda also helps pupils to prepare for LAMDA examinations (achieving 13 Distinctions and 4 Merits in May 2018), as well train them to take part in professional singing work.
