Woodwind Specialist Teacher
Kieran is a South African lady and has taught clarinet and saxophone for 15 years in South Africa and in Dubai. She founded a music studio in Johannesburg prior to moving to Dubai in 2005. She holds a Bachelor of Music, Licentiates from UNISA and the ABRSM, is a certified Kindermusik Educator and specialises in education and chamber music (clarinet and saxophone). She also teaches Little Mozart piano classes. Kieran has been Head of Performing Arts Department at Repton School Abu Dhabi, Nord Anglia School Dubai and Arcadia School Dubai. Kieran is now Primary Music Teacher for FS and KS 1 at Arcadia and teaching specialised woodwind instruments.
Kieran has performed clarinet and saxophone for many years, both in Southern Africa and Dubai. Having attained her Bachelor of Music degree cum laude from The University of Pretoria, studying under Herbert Klein and Mario Trinchero, Kieran won the National UNISA DJ Roode Overseas Study Teaching Licentiate competition. This enabled her to study with Janet Hilton and Spencer Pitfield at the Royal College of Music in London. She has also had classes with the esteemed Oliver de Groote and Florent Heau as well as Michael Collins. Kieran has performed extensively as a solo musician, in chamber music ensembles and was principal clarinet with the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra for many years.
She has performed with the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra, COSA, NAPOP, PACT and the South African National Youth Orchestra. Artists she has performed with include The Corrs, Hugh Masekela, Claire Johnson, Vicky Sampson, Sibongile Khumalo, Julian Lloyd- Webber, Helmut Lotti and many talented South African and Dubai-based musicians. She has worked in orchestras with esteemed conductors such as Rostropovich, Vengerov, Menhuin and Marriner and took pride in performing for Nelson Mandela for his 85th birthday celebrations.
The Serbian-born Andrija has over 9 years of experience teaching music. He studied subject for over 10 years, before taking up teaching as a profession in 2009. Since, he has been working with pupils of all ages, nurturing their talents and preparing them for recitals, competitions and examinations.
Andrija has won several accolades in his career, including a second place in the 6th Open Contest of Students of Music in 2009. He was a member of multiple Church Choirs, the Academic Choir of the University of Nis and was part of guest performances in Macedonia, Italy, Portugal, Greece and Poland. He is also serving as a volunteer at the HBO Education Centre Krusevac since 2003.
He holds a master degree in General Music Pedagogy attained from the University of Nis, where he did his undergraduate studies as well.
Yaime Rosales is a versatile guitarist of 15+years. She hails from Cuba and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Arts from the Music Conservatory of Santa Clara, Cuba.
She has coached beginners and students up to ABRSM grade 8 with excellent results – more than 30 distinctions and over 50 merits. She has also trained students for Trinity College, Rock and Pop for electric guitar.
Yaimes has taught prescribed music syllabus, including musical concepts and performance, sight reading and listening skills in the context of style and genre as well as created schedules to appeal to individualistic taste and abilities.
She served as a full-time musician at the Classical Music Guitar Orchestra in Cuba and performed as a soloist at its many tours and cultural events during the early part of her career. Since then, she has held many teaching positions in institutions in both Cuba and the UAE.
Amanda has been a professional singer for about 20 years. She moved to Dubai in 2016 from London, where she performed in Musicals in the West End such as Mamma Mia, (Prince Edward Theatre) Joseph and The Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat (New London Theatre & UK Tour).
She has performed as a solo artist as well as with numerous bands all over the UK and internationally, whilst writing and producing songs along the way. She has also recorded several jingles for radio and TV commercials.
Amanda holds a degree in Dance, Drama and English. Besides, she trained with internationally renowned voice coach Ian Adam, who has taught the likes of Elaine Paige and Michael Ball, Michael Crawford to name a few.
She assists pupils with vocal techniques, the projection of voice, breath control, diction and intonation to aid in enhancing performance skills and overall confidence whilst maintaining vocal health. Amanda also helps pupils to prepare for LAMDA examinations (achieving 13 Distinctions and 4 Merits in May 2018), as well train them to take part in professional singing work.
Giuliano Francella is a Drummer from from Vancouver Canada. He has been playing in the Dubai music seen for the past 7 years, having done residencies at venues such as Blue Bar, Music Room and Pizza Express. He regularly performs with various groups around dubai for corporate, private and public gigs. His playing style covers all genres of music with a particular interest in funk, jazz, latin and hard rock / heavy metal styles.
